The Statistics Department is proud to co-sponsor
SRC2012,
scheduled for June 13-15 at Harvard,
with the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.
The goal of the conference is to promote inter-disciplinary
research in statistical methods in engineering, science and
technology.
We
warmly congratulate
six award-winning teaching fellows in our department, including this year's awardee
Valeria Espinosa.
Alexander Block has won the first
Arthur P. Dempster Award
for theoretical research in statistics. The title of his acceptance speech was
"The Potential and Perils of Preprocessing: A Multiphase Investigation".
